Alternatively, has anyone done a repair section without a jig?

When i did mine, i cut from the front section so that i could hide the weld right at the angle where it starts to taper towards the trunnion.

I also used the top cover to help index everything.

I've finally acquired all of the necessary parts and i'm ready to weld the thing together, but i've got a few.
